Google is now encouraging you (semi-officially) to do testing to see what pages on your Web site are working the best. If you look at that from a different perspective, then you could say that Google is encouraging you to do backtesting. Or forward testing. Or just plain and simple, they're saying:
When in business, it pays to find out what works best, before you commit to large amounts of resources to a product or service launch.
