Dinner in London

I had a great dinner (Thai) tonight and a not-long-enough conversation with some enjoyable company. It capped off a last day of a seminar with some very strong and capable traders. I'm tired now and getting ready to go back to the States to finally see my family again. But I do want to mention something that I heard spoken tonight:

The "stop loss" is the maximum that a trader is willing to lose. Not the minimum.


It wasn't said exactly like that -- the words "stop loss" weren't used -- but the point was exactly the same.
