Part of the NYTW presentation has an object lesson using 100 lottery tickets.
Half the fun is buying them!

Most people know that they should have some type of trading plan. But what kind of plan? Is a trading plan something you use on a daily basis, or a weekly basis, or that you write one time and put away in a drawer? Most people never write a plan. Most people who write a plan never look at it again.
I think that trading plans should be used on a daily basis, and adjusted often as needed. I don't think that a big fat hairy business plan that is your trading plan is as useful. And we're going to talk a lot about that.
Part of the seminar was about risk management where Rob and Dave did an experiment using lottery tickets and cash. Everyone was given a dollar and a lottery ticket and asked to throw at least one of them away. This video was of us putting everything together for the presentation. We will show a clip of the presentation later.

We talk about a friend who built his own trading system, about a trader who kept on trading even after a good win, and last of all about a friend who lost 20,000 Euros in some bad trades, but who was able to recoup the loss. He is a good trader and friend and we laugh a lot during our conversation - but he really made some good decisions after the loss, and we want to emphasize how intelligently he approached the challenge.
