I'd like for you to join me on April 30 and May 1 for a special webinar series, for an important cause.

Here are the very simple details:

1. I'd like to ask you to join me in helping other people.

2. In exchange for donating to a cause (described below), I'll sign you up for a special webinar series to be held on April 30 and May 1, 2009.

Here's The Story

About a month ago, when I was in Southern California for a seminar, I realized some things about myself that I wanted to change. I considered how fortunate I am to know so many traders from so many parts of the world, and started to wonder why I hadn't done more to use any influence I had in order to improve the lives of other people less fortunate.

If you're reading this right now, you are already probably part of a worldwide network of traders I've met over the years. Many of you have been kind, generous, and giving -- to each other -- in this worldwide network. As of today, there are over 30,000 traders in our database. I know thousands of you by name and face and what's more important is that many of you know each other and have helped each other. I am not embarrassed to say that without question, you are the most giving people that I know.

So, back to my realization: I considered the fact that I haven't done much of anything to gather the combined strength of everyone I know for a cause. I also realized that along the road to becoming (and remaining) successful traders, we do better when we help each other and others. When we think outside the boundaries of our own homes. When we are doing all of this for a reason that is greater than our own self-interest.

So I Sent An Email...

A couple of days after I returned from California, I sent an email out to my entire list of traders. I asked for suggestions and help with a charitable project.

Hundreds of you replied. One reply in particular caught my attention:

Hi Rob,  I would love to talk with you about this. I am not sure exactly what kind of info you are looking for - but I have been to India several times -- this is grass roots -- with great possibilities.  Call or email me anytime.

Stacy   Cooper

I called Stacy about 30 seconds after she sent that email. She described to me a project that she is working on with the Growing Connection, a grassroots project created by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

It is a project that incorporates values that I think you and I both hold dear: the desire to help others become self-sufficient.

Isn't trading about becoming self-sustaining and not depending on others (like a traditional job) for support? There are people in the world that aren't going to be traders anytime soon. But they can get equipped to be able to support themselves and their communities in other ways. Here's one way we can help:

Here's the Project

Extreme weather -- especially cycles of drought followed by punishing rains -- has caused farming families in the Indian province of Andhra Pradesh to lose crops and income. Seeds dry up or wash away, leading to cycles of debt, poverty and hunger. Over 5,000 farmers committed suicide in 2006, seeing no other way to escape debts. Through The Growing Connection, farmers grow nutritious produce in a containerized water-saving system, protecting seeds from the weather, while receiving knowledge and tools for sustainable economical agriculture.

Young people are provided everything they need -- supplies and training -- to grow fresh produce to feed their families and then sell the surplus to break the cycle of debt and hunger. Internet access through The Growing Connection connects youth to info, advice, education & financial opportunity, and to their peers around the world.

Here are photos and stuff from the project as it has gone so far.

When I talked to Stacy and she told me about the suicides, and the struggles of these good people to survive, I decided that I'd try to do whatever I could. This project helps these people plant in containers and in ways that prevent the crops from being ruined by the adverse weather conditions.

Here's my goal:

I'd like to ask 100 of you to join me in supporting this cause, by contributing $97 to the cause. For your donation, you'll gain access to a special webinar series hosted by me and other traders.

Here's the plan, stated another way:

1. I am going to travel to India in June and bring with me as many of the supplies that I can.

2. I am going to travel at my own expense. But...

3. I'm asking for your help in raising money to ship as many additional planting supplies to India as possible. Your donation is tax-deductible in the United States. You can donate $97 by clicking here.

What Do You Get in Return?

1. Access to a Special Webinar Series. We're going to do a webinar series, where we trade live, talk about the markets, and I introduce you to some of the most successful traders that I know. Several of the best traders I've ever taught will be there. Josh has agreed to help -- he's the best short term trader I know. We'll have many more guests to announce very soon.

The webinars are scheduled for April 30, 2009 at 5:00 PM Eastern US Time, and then again at 2:00 AM Eastern US Time on May 1. Each webinar will last at least an hour each and contain unique information that I've not taught before. Each webinar will be different (meaning, it's not the same thing twice).

2. Your Donation Will be Matched! For the next few days, your donation will be 50% matched. So when you donate $97, GlobalGiving.org will match the donation with $48. There is a limited time that this is available, so please help now.

3. You Become Part of Something Bigger. By doing this, you'll become part of a growing family of traders who are dedicated to the same ideals as you.

Please help today. I hope you'll join me to help others.

Happy giving!

Risk Disclosure

Remember: trading carries risk. It's not easy to trade, and it's not easy to make money trading. It takes a lot of work and discipline and even with work and discipline, there are no guarantees that you will be profitable. Trading in the off exchange retail foreign currency market is one of the riskiest forms of investment available in the financial markets and suitable for sophisticated individuals and institutions.  The possibility exists that you could sustain a substantial loss of funds and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose.  Nothing in this seminar is a recommendation to buy or sell currencies and Rob Booker or other instructors are not liable for any loss or damage, including without limitation, any loss of profit which may arise directly or indirectly from the use of these tools or information.
